Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about carpet cleaning pricing, scheduling, drying, and service coverage. If something isn't answered here, just call Ben directly.

How much does carpet cleaning cost?

Carpet cleaning is $0.50 per square foot. Ben measures before starting so you get an exact price, not a rough estimate.

What is the minimum appointment charge?

All appointments have a $225 minimum — regardless of how many rooms or square feet. If your total comes to less than $225, the minimum applies.

How long does carpet take to dry?

Typically 4–8 hours, depending on carpet type, humidity, and airflow in the space. Pointing a fan at the cleaned areas and opening windows speeds things up significantly.

Do you move furniture?

Lighter furniture — chairs, coffee tables, smaller items — Ben can move as part of the job. Heavy furniture like beds, dressers, large sectionals, and bookshelves should be moved beforehand if you want those areas cleaned.

Can you remove pet urine odor?

Sometimes significantly, sometimes partially — it depends on how saturated the carpet and pad are. Ben uses a black light to locate urine areas and enzyme treatment to break down odor-causing contamination. He'll give you an honest assessment before starting rather than promising results he can't deliver.

Do you clean stairs?

Yes. Stairs are quoted separately from the standard per-square-foot rate, based on the number of steps and condition. Ask Ben when you call.

Do you clean upholstery?

Yes — sofas, sectionals, chairs, and other fabric furniture. Upholstery is priced by item, not by square foot. Send a photo if you want a ballpark before scheduling.

What areas do you serve?

Weber County and Davis County, Utah — from North Ogden and Ogden down through Clearfield, Layton, and Bountiful.

Should I vacuum before the appointment?

Yes — if you can. Vacuuming beforehand removes loose surface debris and lets the cleaning focus on what's actually embedded in the carpet. It doesn't need to be perfect, but it helps.

When can I walk on the carpet after cleaning?

You can walk on it right away in clean socks or bare feet. Avoid shoes — especially dark-soled shoes — until the carpet is fully dry. Keep pets off until it's dry as well.
